BOSTON (GaeaTimes.com)- The landmark victory of Scott Brown, the republican candidate in Massachusetts has come as a boost for the Republicans who have been trying all these months to consolidate their position in US political scene. He won in the seat that was previously held by a leader like Ted Kennedy. The Democrats are busy measuring the damage and trying to figure out why they lost out in that important seat. President Barack Obama has already taken a mocking dig a Scott Brown in his recent speech given at Boston. He mockingly said that anyone can buy a truck and it was a reference to the truck that the republican candidate drives.

However, President Barack Obama failed to realize that the candidate he took the dig at owns a GM truck. GM is now under the ownership of US government. The president was campaigning for the Democrat candidate Martha Coakley. Scott Brown was quick to launch a counter attack at the president and the Democrats. He said that he is proud of his truck and it has brought him close to the people who have voted him. He also lashed out at the government expenses done after President Barack Obama came to power. He has vowed to cut down on taxes if republicans get back to power.

The speech of Barack Obama has not gone down well with some others who have vented the ire on twitter. They think that attacking Scott Brown only because he owns and drives a truck is not justified for a leader.
