Arnold A. Chacón, of Virginia, a Career Member of the Senior Foreign Service, Class of Minister-Counselor, to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Republic of Guatemala.
Christopher Merrill, of Iowa, to be a Member of the National Council on the Humanities for a term expiring January 26, 2016, vice Iris Love, term expired.
Earl Anthony Wayne, of Maryland, a Career Member of the Senior Foreign Service, Personal Rank of Career Ambassador, to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Mexico.
Rebecca R. Wodder, of Virginia, to be Assistant Secretary for Fish and Wildlife, vice Thomas L. Strickland, resigned.
WITHDRAWAL SENT TO THE SENATE:
Peter A. Diamond, of Massachusetts, to be a Member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System for the unexpired term of fourteen years from February 1, 2000, vice Frederic S. Mishkin, which was sent to the Senate on January 5, 2011.
