Sarah Brown ‘claims Berlusconi once asked for Naomi Campbell’s number’

LONDON - Former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s wife Sarah has revealed that Silvio Berlusconi, the embattled Italian Prime Minister, once asked for the phone number of supermodel Naomi Campbell at a dinner of world leaders in London.
Mrs. Brown has revealed how she giggled at the 74 year-old’s audacious approach during a discussion with “friends” JK Rowling and Emma Freud, the television presenter, in the Downing Street kitchen, reports the Telegraph.
It was one of the dozens of “sometimes surreal” moments she had during her almost three years at No 10, she disclosed in a newspaper interview.
The mother of two makes the disclosures in her diaries, which are being serialized in a national newspaper next week.
In an interview published on Saturday to publicize her book, Brown admits that her main regret was not doing enough to help support her husband’s tenure and not speaking out during his most important political fights.
“When I look back on it, maybe the one thing I would have changed about my role is that I would have spoken up more,” the 47 year-old told the Daily Mail from her charity office in central London.
In her diaries she also talks movingly about the death of their daughter Jennifer, who passed away at 10 days old in 2002. (ANI)
