Cairo, Feb 16 (IANS/RIA Novosti) At least 365 people were killed and 5,500 injured during anti-government protests in Egypt that ousted President Hosni Mubarak after nearly three decades in power, the health ministry said Wednesday.

It said that the toll was preliminary and would most likely increase because officials were still gathering data across the country. Over 120 injured people still remain in hospital.

At least 32 police were killed and over 1,000 wounded during the uprisings, said the interior ministry.

Mubarak stepped down Feb 11 after 18 days of protests.
