NEW DELHI - Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said Wednesday he never claimed that he had never made a mistake but he had not made the kind of mistakes that were being attributed to him.
“I do not say that I have never made a mistake. But the kind of propaganda being done and shown, I am not a culprit to that extent,” the prime minister told a press conference, allowing himself a brief smile.
The prime minister said the government had taken several steps to effectively tackle the issues of corruption and black money.
He said efforts to get the black money stashed in foreign banks were being made and treaties were being revived to get information from the countries concerned.
We will take all possible measures to bring money that is legally ours, he said.
