NEW DELHI - A delegation of the United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) will meet Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh this evening.
An eight-member ULFA team, lead by its chairman Arabinda Rajkhowa, will meet Dr. Singh at his 7 Race Course Road residence.
The team had earlier met Union Home Minister P Chidambaram and Union Home Secretary GK Pillai.
Chidambaram told senior ULFA leaders that peace talks are at a preliminary stage.
ULFA leaders have also met Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and sought his cooperation in carrying forward the peace process with the Central Government.
Gogoi had on January 20 said that peace talks with ULFA are on the right track and will continue even without Paresh Baruah, the separatist group’s commander-in-chief. (ANI)
