By IANSMonday, February 14, 2011
NEW DELHI - The union cabinet will meet Tuesday to finalise the president’s address to the joint session of parliament that marks the beginning of the budget session, an official in the Prime Minister’s Office said.
“The agenda for the meeting is finalising the president’s address,” the official told IANS Monday.
He said he had no knowledge about speculation in political circles that the constitition of a Joint Parliamentary Commission (JPC) to probe the 2G spectrum scam may also figure during the cabinet meeting.
Parliament’s budget session begins Feb 21.
The entire Nov 9-Dec 13, 2010 winter session of parliament was washed out with the opposition stridently demanding a JPC on the spectrum scam and the govenrment refusing to relent.
