‘Communalism and terrorism in all forms are dangerous,’ says Sonia Gandhi

BURARI - Congress party president Sonia Gandhi on Sunday said communalism and terrorism in all forms are dangerous, and urged the rank and file of the party to combat with all their might.
Addressing the 83rd plenary session of the Congress at Burari, she stated that the party represents all sections, and must retain its core values.
“We should be able to retain the trust of the people,” she said, adding that the party will will soon meet to work out a new strategy for the future.
Launching a scathing against communalism, Sonia said, “Communalism and terrorism in all forms are dangerous. We must not ignore parties and organisations fanning communalism and terror.”
The Congress doesn’t differentiate between majority and minority communalism or terror, she thundered. The paty is committed to fight them, she added.
“The Congress is the party of the future,” she said.
The 83rd plenary, with the theme of ‘dedication and service of 125 years’ is being held at Burari village in North-West Delhi.
Over 20,000 party delegates are attending the plenary, placing the sleepy village on high alert.
Corruption, terrorism and cross-border terrorism are expected to dominate the agenda of the three-day session. (ANI)
