BJP puts off decision on Yeddyurapa’s future

NEW DELHI - The Bharatiya Janata Party early Saturday put off decision on whether to make land scam-hit Karnataka Chief Minister B. S. Yeddyurappa quit or retain him in the post.
The decision was taken after over three hours of meeting at party president Nitin Gadkari’s residence here. The meeting which began late Friday went past midnight.
Yeddyurappa, several Karnataka BJP leaders, leaders of the opposition in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha respectively Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley, former party chief Rajnath Singh and others attended the meeting.
“Party president Nitin Gadkari today completed the discussion with Karnataka chief minister and other leaders from the state.
“What he discussed will be discussed further with other leaders and a decision will be made known to you,” Jaitley told reporters after the meeting.
