NEW DELHI - Congress MPs from Karnataka Thursday staged a demonstration in the Parliament House complex against Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa, demanding his resignation for alleged involvement in land scams in the state.

The Congress MPs sat holding placards and shouting slogans against Yeddyurappa, who belongs to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and demanded that he step down in the wake of controversy surrounding allocation of land to his family members.

The party also accuses Yeddyurappa of not having the will to act against corruption, claiming that no action was taken against the Reddy brothers of Karnataka who were allegedly involved in a multi-crore-rupee mining scam.
