CPI (M) seeks removal of A Raja from Cabinet for 2G scam

NEW DELHI - The Communist Party of India (Marxist) on Thursday demanded removal of A Raja from the Union Cabinet for his alleged involvement in the 2G telecom scam.
Senior CPI (M) leader Sitaram Yechury, addressing a news conference in New Delhi, here today said Mr Raja should be dropped as his continuance could hamper the probe.
He said the government should take immediate steps to recover lost license and spectrum fees about over Rs. 1,90,000 from the operators those who got the licenses otherwise their licenses should be cancelled.
Yechury also demanded suspension of officials against whom now prima facie case exists for illegalities.
He informed his party would raise this issue in the coming Parliament session and claimed that in a letter to the Prime Minister, he raised all these issues. (ANI)
