LONDON - One of Tony Blair’s longest-serving members of staff, Jo Gibbons, has resigned as the former prime minister’s director of corporate affairs amid great mystery.

Since Blair was forced out of Downing Street, Jo Gibbons has remained one of his most loyal lieutenants.

Gibbons, 47, has also left her position as the director of corporate affairs of ‘Blair Inc.’, the growing network of private companies generating millions for the former prime minister, reports the Telegraph.

His firms, the structure of which has been described as ‘opaque’, are said to receive the money that he earns from posts with firms such as JP Morgan.

She was one of several staff members to have registered with the Financial Services Authority, so that she could manage a City firm or offer services to clients. (ANI)
