LONDON - Former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, who was admitted to hospital with a flu infection, is absolutely fine and “in very good spirits,” her son has confirmed.
“She is in very good spirits, absolutely excellent,” Sky News quoted Sir Mark Thatcher, as saying.
He also said that his mother was doing “surprisingly good” after she was taken by ambulance for private treatment at Bupa Cromwell Hospital in west London and added that the tests, which are due to be conducted on her, were “entirely precautionary”.
“She’s been recovering quite well but the doctors wanted to bring her into hospital for some routine tests over the next couple of days. If they go according to plan she’ll be home shortly,” he added.
Last week, Lady Thatcher had to cancel her planned 85th birthday party at Downing Street because of her poor health conditions. (ANI)
