Winter session of parliament begins Nov 9

NEW DELHI - The winter session of parliament will commence Nov 9, officials said Monday. US President Barack Obama will address the law makers a day before the start of the session.
“The session (Lok Sabha) is likely to conclude Dec 13,” said a statement from the Lok Sabha secretariat.
On Friday, Rajya Sabha secretariat issued a notification informing MPs that the session will start Nov 9.
The winter session of parliament is significant as Obama, the first African American president of the US, is scheduled to address members during his maiden visit to India, a day ahead of the commencement of the session.
