PANAJI - All the dissenting legislators from Karnataka would not succumb to pressures from the Congress, the Janata Dal-Secular (JD-S) or the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), former state chief minister H.D. Kumarswamy said Friday.

Speaking to reporters after emerging from a close-door huddle with the 14 dissenting Karnataka MLAs who are camped at a five-star hotel in south Goa, the JD-S leader said he was confident that the BJP government in Karnataka would fall on the day of the trust vote.

Just wait till then. You will realise. All the dissenting MLAs are together and they are united, Kumaraswamy said.

The JD-S leader, who reached Goa Thursday, also refused to reply to questions on whether the JD-S would be supporting a Congress-led government in Karnataka in the near future.

Kumaraswamy also said the allegations made by Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa about him indulging in horse-trading were false.

You will realise soon who is doing horse-trading, Kumaraswamy said.

Earlier in the day, the BJP maintained that the crisis would be blown over by Saturday.

Its a dispute within the party and it will be resolved by tomorrow. I have met everyone including the independent legislators. All I am asking them is to be with the BJP as they were earlier, said former Goa chief minister Manohar Parrikar, who is the BJPs chief troubleshooter.
