Tea Party Express hits the road for 2010 races
LOS ANGELES — The Tea Party Express is hitting the road again.
The California-based political committee that has helped engineer upset election victories in Nevada, Alaska and Delaware this year says it will begin a national bus tour to rally voters on October 18.
The tour kicks off in Reno, Nev. — home to one of the committee’s top targets, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.
It ends Nov. 1 in New Hampshire.
Among the stops, California, Texas, Arkansas, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
The committee with Republican ties financed ads that helped produce surprise Senate victories by GOP candidates Sharron Angle in Nevada, Joe Miller in Alaska and Christine O’Donnell in Delaware.
The committee has run several previous bus tours.
