Madhya Pradesh leader of opposition dies

INDORE - Congress heavyweight in Madhya Pradesh and leader of opposition in the state assembly Jamuna Devi died Friday at a private hospital here, doctors and family members said.
The 81-year-old tribal politician who was born in 1929 in Dhar district died at the Apollo Hospital after months of poor health and illness.
Her political career spanned about 58 years and she was elected to the state assembly for the sixth time in 2008. She will be cremated with full state honour here Saturday.
The Madhya Pradesh government has ordered closure of all the government offices and institutions Sep 25 as a mark of respect to the Congress leader. A three-day state mourning has also been declared.
