Zardari’s Comments Criticized in White House

WASHINGTON (GaeaTimes.com) - Asif Ali Zardari, President of Pakistan has criticised the outspoken comments made by the British Prime Minister about Pakistan’s approach to the Taliban.

Le Monde quoted him as saying.

“The international community, of which Pakistan is a part, is losing the war against the Taliban because we have lost the battle for hearts and minds,”

According to Zardari, to win the support of the Afghan people United States-led coalition forces should bring economic development to the people.

On the counterpart Obama totally disagreed with Zardari’s comments. White House spokesman, Gibbs stated that the actions of the United States-led coalition forces were very much into the ‘hearts and mind of people’.
