ABURA-DUNKWA, GHANA (GaeaTimes.com)- The DCE of Abura Dunkwa in Ghana is likely to be sacked from his position by the President. Reportedly, the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese assembly members from Central Ghana have issued a final warning to President John Evans Atta Mills demanding the removal of the DCE (District chief Executive) Madam Aba Edusah from her office.

According to the Assembly members, DCE Madam Eduah has done nothing for the development of the central region and have procured an enormous amount of wealth for her own self. The assembly members also underlined the fact that if the President refuses to remove the DCE they shall use the Local Government Act 642 to remove the DCE from her office by force.

Mr Stephen Akwah who happens to be the Assembly spokesman told the media that the approval of the contracts by the DCE without the consent of the assembly is a serious issue to consider and hence can’t be tolerated at any cost. The complaint reports indicated that the DCE and her decisions are a total spoiler for the district and hence she should be removed from the position at any cost. The DCE was also accused of creating confusion between people with her statements. However, the President’s office informed the media that the office is in no mood to remove the DCE but they shall definitely run a check on this issue. Mr Akwah also mentioned that this is the very first time that the Assembly has called for the removal of a DCE since 1988 when the decentralization programme was introduced for the very first time in the district.
