Bharat Bandh To Delay Domestic Fliers

MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Bharat Bandh has paralyzed the entire nation as transport services all over the country has been stopped. Not only the bus, train and the metro railway services but many domestic flights were called off in the wake of the Bharat Bandh.

The Airlines have canceled major domestic fliers moving in and out of the Mumbai city. However, the international fliers were spared from the axe of Bharat Bandh and are all set to take off as scheduled. The Mumbai International Airport Limited has also adopted several security measures to make sure that there is no hassle or hindrance caused to passengers boarding the international flights.

The officials also said that the airport shall remain active as on any other day and shall ensure the safety of the passengers. Manish Kalghatgi who happens to be the spokesperson of Mumbai International Airport Limited told the media that the airport officials are aware of the Bharat Bandh and hence they shall make sure that each and every passenger faces no kind of trouble to board the international flights on Monday. Owing to the Bharat Bandh, the airport employees working in the morning shift reported at 6 am which is two hours ahead of the regular timings.

The passengers have also been asked to arrive two hours early at the airport to avoid any kind of delay. One of the most prominent international fliers Lufthansa Airlines is on the safe side as all international flights of the airlines are scheduled to take off at night when the Bharat Bandh shall get over. Over 42 arrivals and another 47 departures have been canceled till now. Air India’s Mumbai-Delhi-Hong Kong flight was also called off due to the Bharat Bandh.
