INDIANAPOLIS (GaeaTimes.com)- Rep. Mark Souder on Tuesday announced that he would resign from the Congress due to his extra marital relationship with one of the part-time staff members. The announcement though was made by the eight-term Republican representative Mark Souder on Tuesday; reports claim that Mark Sounder’s staff had informed a staff of the House Minority Leader John Boehner on Sunday of the situation. On Monday the leader had spoke to Mark Souder on the phone reportedly. Michael Steel the spokesman of John Boehner has reportedly told to media sources that the minority leader Mark Souder has clearly stated that he will like to hold the members “to the highest ethical Standards”.

Though the rumors of the infidelity of Mark Souder has been doing the round for months now in the Indiana district, the sudden declaration by Mark Souder has come as a shock to the Republican party members who have been hoping high on the success of Mark Souder in the coming November election. The announcement and the confession of the relationship by Mark Sounder who is a devout Christian, has shocked many voters as well. Mark Souder is known for his evangelical Christian ethical values, a person who has upheld the conservative family values and tradition marriage. He is known for his views on religion as well. Many voters who have supported the conservative family values of Mark Souder on Tuesday voiced that they were disappointed with the confession.

On Tuesday, Mark Souder was seen alone addressing the media. He apologized for the deeds he has done and said that though his family and friends are more than willing to stand by him, he wanted to face the crisis alone as it is his own fault.
