Blanche Lincoln And Derivative’s Amendment

ARKANSAS, (GaeaTimes.com)- Union Leaders are dissatisfied with Senator Blanche Lincoln and her attitude towards the Employee Free Choice Act. Reportedly, Blanche Lincoln surprised one and all with her strong amendment on the derivatives just ahead of the June 8 run off against Bill Halter. The labor unions have claimed that senator Blanche Lincoln couldn’t have come out so strong with her derivative’s amendment without their support. However, they are upset with the senator not paying any heed to the Employee Free Choice Act which would have been highly beneficial for the union leaders to form free associations without any hassle or hindrance.
Blanche Lincoln happens to be the Chairwoman for the Senate Agriculture Committee and her decision of the derivate amendment gains ground with her panel which is loaded heavy with prominent banks of the state. However, her decision has been criticized by many a prominent and influential figures of the state who are of the opinion that this decision shall create immense pressure upon the banks for the spin off. As an obvious consequence this shall lead to heavy loss.
Lorri Lodes who happens to be the spokesperson for Services International Union said that she supports the labor union leaders as because she feels that without their backing Blanche Lincoln couldn’t have come out strong with her derivate amendment. AFL-CIO spokesperson Eddie Vale is of the opinion that this very move by senator Blanche Lincoln will surely affect her June 8 run off. He also said that the spin off for the banks on the derivative operations shall pull out huge sum with no scope of revival in the current scenario.
