He changed his party last year after calculating the Republicans will lose out top the Democrats. He was almost confident that his seniority in senate will go in his favor and the Democrat voters will sway to his side. His calculation turned out to be wrong and his 30th year in US politics was marked with a humiliating defeat yesterday.
