WASHINGTON (GaeaTimes.com)- The GOP members have always been vocal about the spending culture of the Obama administration and now they have come up with a weapon to tackle it. The You Cut program that has been made and unveiled by republican leader Eric Cantor has created a storm in the US political scene. This online application basically allows the residents of the country to let the Congress know what governments pending areas can be eliminated for the balance in the budget. The voters can cast their votes online or they can resort to their mobile phones for accessing it. The opinion of the political veterans is varied on the relevance and usefulness of the You Cut program. Some people think it is headed to the right direction while others feel it is nothing more than a political gimmick.
The democrats are not very comfortable with the plan of the GOP members and they have slammed the You Cut Program in general. The application has been designed by the Economic Working group. The republicans are of the opinion that it will give the voters the choice to voice their grievances to the congress in the best possible way. The application is getting good response initially after it was inaugurated on Wednesday. A few thousand votes have already been cast. The program that gets the maximum number of votes will be declared on May 17. It will be repeated till the end of 2010.
The You Cut program has already created sensation among the residents. The democrats are saying that with this program the budget deficit cannot be met in any way.

2010 Census: Being a Census enumerator for the past 3 weeks, I have discovered it is far too costly to send enumerators to follow up on those deadbeats who don’t send their census forms in. At a cost of $60 per household to do follow-up work-why not just fine people $50 per day on those people who don’t comply with the law and let the US government actually MAKE money instead of spending it? Either that or have police officers canvas their precincts for information. Maybe those individuals will actually open the door instead of peeking through the curtains or hiding when they see us come around! We might even get some co-operation instead of rejection and having doors slammed in our faces. |
