Rahul Gandhi on one-day Kerala visit

KOZHIKODE - Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi arrived here Monday for a daylong trip to meet Youth Congress representatives in three Kerala districts, party officials said.
Gandhi, who arrived by an Air India flight at 9.40 a.m., is visiting Kasargod, the northernmost district of the state, hilly Wayanad and southern Kollam.
The Congress leader, who is slated to fly back to New Delhi in the evening after the whirlwind visit, will interact with select representatives of the Youth Congress, teachers and lawyers at all three places, the official said. Organisational polls of the Youth Congress are to be held soon.
Neither Congress leaders nor the media have been invited to any of the three events.
Security has been tightened at the three places and the invitees have been asked to come without even wearing a watch.
