LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM (GaeaTimes.com)- The residents of UK who are anxious to see the result of the British election 2010 have some surprises in store. It is being assumed by the political veterans that David Cameron may try to form a Tory Government. The innings may be over for incumbent PM Gordon Brown. The success of David Cameron however depends on the amount of support he gets from the liberal democrats. He has got a tough task of deciding if he should opt for a minority government or go for a deal with the Liberal Democrats. A coalition with the party of Nick Clegg means that the Tories would have to accept the demand of the Liberal Democrats for electoral reforms.
However, when David Cameron said that he is looking forward to a strong and stable coalition it indicates some sort of political alliance is on the cards. Nick Clegg today dropped a suggestion that the conservatives should be given a chance to set up a government after getting the highest number of votes and seats. The developments in the British election 2010 may stun some analysts but with the Liberal Democrats coming a cropper and the Labor Party getting a serious drubbing after a long time, a coalition has become imminent.
Gordon Drown has not given up hopes though and today he started the constitutional mechanism to set up a new government amidst a hung parliament. He admitted that no party holds an absolute majority as of now. A few seats are left before the British election 2010 results are declared and the Tories are confident to gain some more seats. David Cameron said the country needs political level change.
