NEW DELHI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- The Leftist political parties have called a Bharat Bandh tomorrow April 27th, to protest against price hike and allied issues. However, the Left Front which has been facing the heat of the public dissent in the last two years in several polls is trying not to cause too much inconvenience to people. The CPM bigwigs from West Bengal have said that the stranded train passengers will be given food and the children will be given milk tomorrow after the nationwide strike begins. Biman Bose, the Left Front chief who is a proponent of Bandhs has said that his party workers would not opt for confrontation with people. Since the municipal polls are ahead, the party does not want to make the mass angry by causing disruption as it seems.
The CPM has said that tomorrow local trains would not be stopped forcibly. The party workers have been asked to stop long distance trains only at big stations where the passengers can get enough food and water. However, the commuters and office goers have previous experiences of strikes called by leftist parties when the common men are made to suffer the most. The students who have exams and job seekers appearing fort interviews are also made to suffer during Bharat Bandhs and the scene is most likely to be repeated tomorrow.
Sadly enough the parties that have called the Bharat Bandh think that calling the strike will bring the price of the essential commodities down. The IT sector workers who have to report for work 24X7 would be the worst hit because of this strike.
