BJP Rally In Delhi Today

NEW DELHI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- The residents of New Delhi are keeping their fingers crossed as BJP has planned a massive rally in Central Delhi today. It is likely to bring the traffic to a standstill and cause severe inconvenience to the residents and office goers in particular. BJP plans to gather at least 300,000 of its supporters at the Ramlila Maidan for the rally. The party is trying to utilize the price hike issue that is plaguing the ruling UPA government. The major roads and places like JLN Marg, Sansad Marg and Barakhamba Road will be affected by the rally. Apart from that stretches like Mathura Road, India gate, Asaf Ali Road, Sikandara Road and Ranjit Singh Marg will be badly hit.
The BJP party workers hailing from various states will take part in the rally. Around 600 busses will come to Delhi to bring the party workers and they will make chaos as the traffic police are expecting. The rally will be started from the Ram Lila ground and it will end in Jantar Mantar. The party has also planned to gherao the parliament as a part of the protest rally. This rally is going to be vital for Nitin Gadkari, the new party president of BJP. It is a show of strength for him.
The BJP rally will also see all BJP Chief Ministers coming together. Other prominent BJP leaders like Arun Jaitley, Sushma Swaraj, Rajnath Singh and L K Advani would be present, as it has been reported. Additional traffic personnel have been pressed into service to manage the situation.
