Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation Election 2010: NMMC 2010 Result to Announce

NAVI MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com) — Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation elections were held on April 11, 2010. In the midst of chaos and violence reported at few places, the elections to Aurangabad and Navi Mumbai municipal corporations and Badlapur and Ambernath municipal councils took place on Sunday. Despite of a very hot and sunny day, the NMMC got spontaneous response from the citizens. At the end of the day almost 50 percent voting was reported.
Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation Election 2010 had 89 seats in total and the number of candidates contested for Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) Election 2010 were 470.
Here I want to mention that, Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC), the municipal organisation of Mumbai’s sarellilte town Navi Mumbai was constituted On December 17, 1991 by the State Government. It was founded to cater the requirements of 29 villages in CIDCO Navi Mumbai project and 15 villages from Kalyan.
Previously, Ganesh Naik, Maharashtra Minister of Excise has won the Navi Mumbai Municipal Elections twice & this time he is aiming for a hat-trick for the NCP.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that 65 percent and 50 percent of voting was received in Aurangabad and Navi Mumbai respectively, while both the municipal councils of Ambernath and Badlapur earned 50 percent voting.
Lets see which party rules the NMMC. The results are most likely to be announced today.
