Home Minister P. Chidambaram Warns about Saffron Terror

NEW DELHI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com) — ‘Saffron Terror’ or ‘Terror by Hindus’ are phrases that mainly imply terrorist acts against Muslims in India. Its a neologism that promotes Hindu Nationalism. Home Minister, P. Chidambaram warned about this Saffron Terror and indicated that this may be involved in many bomb blasts in tha past.

There is the recently uncovered phenomenon of saffron terrorism that has been implicated in many bomb blasts of the past.

, Mr. Chidambaram said while addressing a conference of Police Chiefs.

He also referred to a few incidents where the saffron terror was involved. The violent acts by some ultra Hindu groups were way beyond Humanity. The involvement of radical Hindu groups were pointed out at the incidents occurred in Malegaon, Mecca Masjid and Ajmer Sharif.

The Saffron Terror has also been doubted over the attack on Samjauta Express. Chidambaram also added that his advice was to remain vigilant and continue building their capacity at the central and state levels.
