The Vice President met Moldovan Prime Minister Vlad Filat on January 20, 2010. The Vice President commended Prime Minister Filat for his efforts to bring Moldova closer to the European Union, improve relations with its neighbors, and attract foreign investment.

The greatest threat facing the American people today is the spread of nuclear weapons to additional states and to terrorists, and we will spare no effort in protecting the American people from this danger.
