JALANDHAR - Bharatiya Jan Yuva Morcha (BJYM) President Anurag Thakur and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Navjot Singh Sidhu on Sunday slammed the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government at the Centre and the Jammu and Kashmir Government for disrupting the party's plans to hoist the national flag at the historic Lal Chowk in Srinagar on January 26.

JALANDHAR - Punjab police Monday arrested 11 Congress leaders following a clash between them and workers of the ruling Akali Dal-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at a hospital here.

JALANDHAR - Former Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh Monday said that the Congress, when it comes back to power, will take "strict action" against the police officers found guilty of atrocities against the public, including Congress party workers, at the behest of the Akali Dal government.
