Statement by the Press Secretary on the President’s Trip to France

Yesterday at midnight, NATO’s Operation Unified Protector concluded after seven months of a successful effort to protect the Libyan people and support them as they won their freedom. Following the G-20 Summit, on November 4 the President and President Sarkozy of France will participate in a ceremony in Cannes to honor the alliance between the United States and France. At this ceremony, the two Presidents will meet with American and French service members who served together in Operation Unified Protector.
