WASHINGTON – Today, President Barack Obama announced his intent to appoint the following individual to a key Administration post:

President Obama announced his intent to appoint the following individual to a key Administration post:
Peter Schaumber, Appointee for Member, Board of Trustees of the Christopher Columbus Fellowship Foundation
Peter Schaumber served on the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) from 2002 to 2010, including a term as Chairman from 2008 until 2009. Prior to his appointment to the NLRB, he was a labor arbitrator serving on a number of national arbitration rosters and industry panels. Mr. Schaumber began his legal career in government service as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Columbia and thereafter served as an Associate Director of a Law Department division of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. After government service and before becoming a labor arbitrator, he was in private law practice in Washington, DC. Mr. Schaumber taught at the National Law Center of George Washington University and in the MBA Program of Georgetown University and was President of the Republican National Lawyers Association. Mr. Schaumber is a graduate of Georgetown University and Georgetown University Law Center.
