President Obama will welcome Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen of Denmark to the White House on Monday, March 14th. The President looks forward to discussing with Prime Minister Rasmussen the strong ties between the United States and Denmark, the common global and security challenges our two nations face, including counterterrorism, the situation in the Middle East and economic and environmental issues. The President and the Prime Minister will also discuss the situation in Afghanistan, where more than 700 Danish combat troops as well as police and army training teams are serving in Helmand Province.
