JAMMU - Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will meet union Home Minister P. Chidambaram in New Delhi Wednesday to discuss the situation in the state.
Chidambaram, who is closely monitoring the developments in the state along with the chief minister, would also share the central government’s inputs, according to sources in the government.
A joint strategy to tackle the issues facing Jammu and Kashmir would be worked out.
As Jammu and Kashmir is proposing to hold the panchayat elections by May-end, the chief minister is likely to discuss the whole process with the home minister and discuss the security needs.
“There are many more important issues that will come up for discussion between the two,” an official source told IANS.
