GORAKHPUR - Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh has said that if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) cares about Muslims then they should discard communal ideology and follow Mahatma Gandhi’s footsteps.
Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, Singh said: “If BJP is really concerned about the Muslim community in India then it should detach itself from the ideologies of Nathuram Godse (the man who killed Gandhi).
“If they are really concerned about the welfare of the Muslims, then they should bring in change in their ideology and policies. They have to discard the communal ideology and adopt the ideology of communal harmony. They should follow Mahatma Gandhi’s ideas and detach themselves from the theories of Golwalkar and Godse,” said Singh
He further termed Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) members as ‘Saffron Terrorists’ and said that the RSS activists who are involved in different incidents of terrorism should be tried in one single court.
“We demand that all the RSS workers involved in various disastrous incidents should be investigated through one particular agency and be produced before one particular court for hearing,” he said.
He further said that blast cases like Malegaon or Ajmer Dargah incident are linked with each other with the accused having same organizational affiliations. (ANI)
