MP Prakash Passes Away

BANGALORE, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- One of the most revered and respected politicians of Karnataka, Matada Patil Prakash or MP Prakash, left for the heavenly adobe, today morning. The seventy one year old politician, who worked for the, Janata Dal, Congress and has been an exponent of the Lingayat Community in Karnataka. He was admitted to the Manipal Hospital, before his demise.

Reportedly, MP Prakash has been suffering from cancer for the last few years, and had been undergoing treatment for the fatal disease. A few days back, he was admitted to the same hospital for some ailment. His death was due to natural causes. The chief minister of Karnataka, B. S. Yeddyurappa, has expressed his condolences and sense of loss to the family members of this renowned member MLA. His body will be taken to the Freedom Park very soon, for public viewing, so that people can pay their last homage to the great political leader. Later on, his funeral will be taking place at the Hadagali in the district of Bellary, from where he hails. The chief minister has also announced a public holiday for all the schools and colleges, situated in the Bellary district, as a sign of respect to MP Prakash.

After the news broke out, people from all over Karnataka have expressed their grief. A source said that he was a good soul amongst the other “Self Seeking” politicians. Another person said that he deserved to achieve a lot more that what he did as a politician. Apart from being into politics, MP Prakash has also been a writer, social activist, theater personality. The multi-faceted person is survived by his wife, son and three daughters.
