Ex-Japanese PM meets Sheila Dikshit in Delhi

NEW DELHI - Former Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama, who is on a brief visit to India, met Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit here on Sunday.

Hatoyama will stay in the national capital for two days, during which he is also expected to meet Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

The former Japanese Prime Minister will then proceed to Mumbai for a day, where would be meeting industrialist Mukesh Ambani.

Hatoyama is in India in connection with the three-day 2011 India-Japan Global Partnership Summit 2011, which will be held in September 5.

The India-Japan Global Partnership Summit 2011 is aimed at enhancing socio-economic, cultural and spiritual bonding between the two nations.

It is also aimed at strengthening economic ties, greater regional integration and multilateral trade between the two countries. (ANI)
