LONDON - British Prime Minister David Cameron had warned in 2008 that every year around 60,000 people travel to UK from Pakistan, increasing terror threats in his country, according to the US diplomatic cables revealed by Wikileaks.

During his meeting with US Senator John McCain, Camron had urged America to think of increasing the number US civilians in Afghanistan instead of sending more troops, the News reports.

He further told McCain that he liked the Hamid Karzai government, adding that the critical and instable political scenario in Pakistan has contributed in complicating the Afghan situation.

In reply, McCain said that US was worried about the situation in Pakistan and had no option but to help that country. He also said no government had been able to rule over the Waziristan, tribal belt in Pakistan for last 2000 years, the leaked cables said. (ANI)
