NEW DELHI - India Tuesday said the international community has widely accepted that Kashmir is a “bilateral issue” between it and Pakistan.

“We have and are prepared to have consultations and discussions on all bilateral issues with Pakistan. This position of India is widely accepted and appreciated by members of the international community,” external affairs ministry spokesman Vishnu Prakash here.

He was reacting to media reports that said that Kashmir has reportedly been left out a list of “pending” international disputes by the United Nations. Pakistan has claimed it was an “inadvertent omission”.
