NEW DELHI - The Lok Sabha was adjourned Thursday morning for an hour as opposition parties again took up the issue of corruption scams and demanded a discussion.

Speaker Meira Kumar adjourned the house till noon as soon as members assembled at 11 a.m., a day after similar protests and opposition MPs demanding a joint parliamentary committee (JPC) probe into the 2G spectrum, Adarsh housing society and CWG corruption scandals had led to the house being adjourned for the day.

There was pandemonium with protesting MPs lambasting the government and demanding scrapping of the qustion hour for discussion on priority basis on the three scams.

The government has ruled out the debate on these issues, saying the housing scam related to the Maharashtra government, which would give its reply in the state assembly.

Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee Wednesday told reporters that the Commonwealth Games scam was being investigated and the Comptroller and Auditor General of India has submitted its report on 2G spectrum allocation issue.
