Sonia Gandhi meets Obama

NEW DELHI - Congress president Sonia Gandhi called on US President Barack Obama Monday.

Congress sources said Gandhi, who was accompanied by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, raised issues of mutual interest and expressed India’s desire to further strengthen ties with the US.

Gandhi is chairperson of the ruling Untied Progressive Alliance (UPA) alliance and heads the National Advisory Council (NAC).
