Wilkie Joined Collaborates with Julia Gillard

CANBERRA (GaeaTimes.com) — Tasmanian Independent MP Andrew Wilkie has decided to support Julia Gillard as the next Prime Minister. He announced to support Labor to form a minority government.

Wilkie’s decision to back Labor renders that Labor now has 74 members, two seats less to come into power. The negotiation made by Wilkie is backed by some major promises. He has joined hands with Julia Gillard because she has promised to tackle problems like gambling and to set-up hospitals.

Mr. Wilkie had more confidence on Prime Minister Julia Gillard. He won $100 million to reinstate Royal Hobart Hospital. Not only this the Prime Minister of Australia committed to establish a uniform smart-card system on poker machines in every states.

Andrew Wilkie suggested other independents to tread his path. He stated that

I want a Labor government. For all its weaknesses and faults, I think it would be the best government out of the two for the next three years.
