Palin focused on electing Republicans this year

WASHINGTON — Sarah Palin says her political focus these days isn’t on the 2012 presidential race, but on helping put more Republicans into office in the fall elections.

The 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee tells “Fox News Sunday” that she’s never committed to running for the White House in 2012.

Her endorsement is highly coveted in this congressional election year — when Republicans are looking to retake power on Capitol Hill.

Despite her populist appeal, Palin is a highly polarizing political figure. The most recent Associated Press-GfK poll showed that 52 percent of those surveyed viewed her unfavorably while 45 percent viewed her favorably.
