LONDON - Former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown is understood to have been approached by Harvard and Yale, the so-called “Ivy League” elite universities on America’s East Coast, to teach and interact with students.

According to the Daily Express, he is also believed to have been contacted about a post at Edinburgh University, where he completed a doctorate.

According to the report, Brown’s return to academia would not come as a surprise, given his career as a college politics lecturer in Glasgow before he was an MP.

Many friends, and also enemies, have long regarded him as far more suited to academia than politics.

Brown’s spokesman was quoted as saying:”It’s true he has been approached by several academic institutions regarding various things. None of these is settled or completed as yet. There have been approaches in this country and others.” (ANI)
