Iran allows more overview of enrichment site

VIENNA — Diplomats say Iran has agreed to let the U.N. atomic agency have greater overview of a sensitive uranium enrichment site.

The diplomats say the agreement is not yet implemented. But they say Teheran has agreed to increase the capacities of the International Atomic Energy Agency to monitor a site where for two months it has been enriching uranium to higher levels.

The diplomats asked for anonymity Friday because their information is confidential.

Iran’s chief IAEA delegate, Ali Asghar Soltanieh, indirectly confirmed the reports. He told the AP that Iran and the IAEA concluded “constructive talks” on the issue.
