Former Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party chief Ram Vilas Paswan has said the proposed “Vishwas Yatra” (confidence march) of Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar will turn out to be “Vidai Yatra” (farewell march) in the end.

“Nitish Kumar has done nothing for the people of Bihar except for cheating them in the last four years of his tenure. The common men are now desperate to teach him a lesson”, Paswan told reporters in Patna today.

Terming the the so-called growth story of Bihar as a complete “rubbish”, Paswan said only corruption and liquor business flourished during the last four years of the ruling Nitish Kumar-led the National Democratic Alliance government in Bihar.

Bihar chief minister has announced to undertake “Vishwas Yatra” ~ his fifth such Yatra in the last four years of his regime ~ to win the confidence of the common voters ahead of the forthcoming assembly elections in the state.

The assembly elections are scheduled later this year but given the brewing revolt within the JD-U, its “strained” relations with the BJP, JD-U’s junior alliance partner, and certain controversial steps of the NDA government, the overall situation appears quite tough for the ruling coalition.
