DHAKA - Security has reportedly been tightened around Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wajed in wake of Islamic militants threatening to assassinate her and to blow up a high-security jail in Chittagong.

Police said that the militants want their associates released from prison within a month, and therefore, have issued a threat.

The letter’s sender has called himself a member of the outlawed Jamaatul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), the Daily Star reports. (ANI)
