BASIRHAT - West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee Saturday alleged that the railways neither had the money nor managed to draw entrepreneurs to build factories as announced by Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee.

“How is the railways being run? The less said the better. Every day, factories are being announced. Big advertisements are being splashed in newspapers,” Bhattacharjee said at a Left front rally in this town of North 24 Parganas district.

“But where is the money for that? Where are those who will build these factories,” he asked.

Ridiculing Banerjee’s promise of providing a large number of jobs once these factories are set up, Bhattacharjee said: “You cannot give jobs by resorting to untruths and falsehoods. For setting up factories, one has to think properly and then device a proper plan. And that is missing.”
